Atrium Manor
Jacksonville, Florida

This conceptual design for an assisted living facility consisted of three floors, totaling 124,715 s.f., containing 124 units of one and two bedroom apartments. Activity rooms, offices, and a large banquet room were organized around a central lobby and atrium area. The building was comprised of two U-shaped wings, creating central courtyards used to let natural light into apartments and minimize travel distances to public areas. The design called for construction consisting of C.M.U. walls finished with Hardie siding and brick, hollow core slabs, and pre-engineered metal roof trusses with architectural shingles.
