Buchanan Residence

This 5,400 s.f. residence was designed for a family of four, raising horses on ten acres outside of Middleburg, Florida. The client desired a traditional country home, without having an outdated appearance. Covered porches, a detached garage, and a separate gazebo on a fishing pond were incorporated. Cypress siding, galvalume roofs, and tapered columns give the home a vernacular look, while window fenestration and interior slanting walls created a more contemporary feel.
